I just bought the new Herman Düne album "Giant". I'm blown away...
"Herman Düne is a French Anti-folk band, formed in 1999. The band consists of André Herman Düne (guitars and vocals ), David-Ivar Herman Düne (guitars and vocals) and Neman Herman Düne (drums and sometimes backing vocals). Some of Herman Düne's influences include: Lou Barlow, The Mountain Goats, Cat Power and Silver Jews." - Wikipedia
Here's the first single from the album "I wish that I could see you soon".
I know that this is so last year, but I haven’t really given “Whitest boy alive” a fair chance before I went to Stockholm last week. I bought the album, and it has been on heavy rotation on my iPod ever since.
"The Whitest Boy Alive are a musical group based in Berlin. The band is comprised of singer/guitarist Erlend Øye, bassist Marcin Öz, drummer Sebastian Maschat, and Daniel Nentwig on rhodes & crumar. They started as an electronic dance music project in 2003 in Berlin, but have since slowly developed into a band with no programmed elements. Bubbles is their record label. Their debut album Dreams was released on June 21, 2006." - Wikipedia
Check out the cool video for the album opener “Burning”
We are proud to present the second episode of the DoCopenhagen Video Podcast. This time we have teamed up with the Indie sensation Eagle*Seagull's frontman Eli Mardock. This episode contains 3 of Eagle*Seagull's own tracks, and an exclusive cover version of The Lemonheads' "My Drug buddy".
You can get a taste of the full podcast here. If you like it, please don't hesitate to subscribe via the link above.
If you want to know more about Eagle*Seagull, read Anders Buhl's old update here, or pay them a visit on their Myspace. You can also read Anders' review of their album in Soundvenue here (In Danish).
Thanks to Mette Ohlendorff and Theis from Vega. Without you guys, we couldn't have pulled this off. Cheers.
DoCopenhagen darling Björn Kleinhenz emailed me a few mp3s from his upcoming album the other day. I promised him not to share them with anyone yet (So I won´t). But if the rest of the album is half as good these tunes there is deffintly something to look forward to. Today I realized that Björn has another great new song up for everybody to enjoy on his MySpace page. Here is a direct mp3 link provided by Stytzer.
Another thing I have wanted to post forever is the new video by Grizzly Bear. Apparently they have been working on it since August and the final result is amazing.
As always, sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of days. We have been busy recording our second Video Podcast. This time it's Eli Mardock from Eagle*Seagull who was so kind to do a little acoustic set for us at Lille Vega here in Copenhagen. I am especially excited about the stripped down version of "Death Could Be At the Door" and a cover of "My Drug Buddy" by The Lemonheads. The final result should be up very soon, so if you haven't yet you should subscribe to our feed in iTunes.
There is a little problem with the feed due to our shift to the new version of blogger, which means that you might get a few music videos in iTunes as well...
I really don't know what to say about the track, but the new video for the first single from Chin Up Chin Up's new album, is pretty nice. Check it out.
Super Troels also know as Troels Abrahamsen and lead singer in danish band VETO has made a 22 minutte long session containing remixes of tracks from his forthcoming album “I Know That You Know” - I am very excited.
Danish band Entakt has a new great video out for the tune "Kunsten At Slippe Taget" taken from the wonderful album "Træerne Vokser Ind I Himlen" - found at Stytzer.
Not familiar with Entakt - Check out the video for Fyrværkeri as well.
Yet another free EP from the Swedish music collective Wild Geese Music has landed in my inbox - Enjoy.
"The "Lovers don't need EP" was written on free moments towards the end of 2006, with a stolen guitar on a poor mans bed in a bedroom painted red. The songs where recorded on five separate days in December and Januari (of 2007...) on poor equipment and one microphone. All songs where written by me, Michael Bach, who also played all instruments, recorded, mixed and so forth."
Our friends at Connecta has been busy building a user generated city-guide for AOK. I have been playing around with it for the last couple of hours and I must say that the result is absolutely brilliant.

I haven'thttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif kept up with Britta Persson since her wonderful 1. demo in 2004. Found this video today on her MySpace page.
