True hip hop - no sell outs

Today I came across NobodySmiling.com and saw their great archive of hip hop videos. Quite a few people have been accusing us of being hip hop haters here at DoCopenhagen, so I thought that it was time to prove them wrong.
In fact at least one of us has a past as a true b-boy. But that was before hip hop went mainstream and became the circus we know today. Back in the late eighties / early nineties hip hop was the new rock 'n roll, kind of like the indie rock wave these years.

Anyway NobodySmiling has done a great job collecting some of the classic stuff. Here are links to a few of my favourites:

Ice Cube - Today Was A Good Day
Nas - Halftime
Pete Rock & CL Smooth - The Creator
Tribe Called Quest - Check the Rhyme
Wreckx-N-Effect - Rump Shaker
The Beatnuts - Off The Books
Naughty by Nature - Uptown Anthem
Black Sheep - The Choice is Yours
Bran Nubian - Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down
De La Soul - Ego Trippin (Part Two)
DJ Quik - Jus Lyke Compton
Double XX Posse - Not Gonna Be Able To Do It
Fu-Schnickens ft. Phife - La Schmoove

While still in the mood for true hip hop, I was playing around with Google video and came across these two classics
