Psapp is the collective experiences of Carim Clasmann and Galia Durant, a London based pair of anoraks whose mutual obsession with odd noises and heart-prodding pop has resulted in a sound that sneakily slips between genres, dabbling with electronica, and glitchy folk and jazz. They're about to put their new album The Only Thing I Ever Wanted. Check out this cool video made by Thorsten Levin. There is something about this song that makes me feel good in a sad kinda way.

Against The Light - A film festival goodie...!

Tomorrow night at the legendary Copenhagen Jazzhouse, danish punk jazzers Bugpowder (members from D:A:D + the late Swan Lee) will be performing an arty farty show, as background to the classic danish silent movie "Against The Light" - The entire show is a part off the Copenhagen NightFilm Festival, and part two will be held, same place, same sorroundings on march 29.th - thus this time with the sweedish favorites and ultra cool Midaircondo.
Oh Yeah - Bugpowder just released their album "Autoabsence" and oh yeah - Hip Hop mogul DJ Tue Track will pump up the turntables after the show.
To me this sounds like a F****** Amazing couple of nights!

It is so embarrassing that we haven't link to Jacob Faurholt & Sweetie Pie Wilbur before but what is even more embarrassing is that I haven't heard of these guys before they sent me an email the other day.

Den Sorte Skole

"Den Sorte Skole" (the black school) is a Danish DJ team that has done several live performances featuring the following setup: 3 DJ's, 4 decks, 3 mixers and a pile of dope records. I have never heard them performing live but this week I have been listening quite a lot to their promo CD. Their mission is to give new life to classic tracks and to bring a live feeling to the mix.
There are mixing artists like: Jurassic 5, Bjorn Svin, Bob Dylan, Gang Starr, KRS-One and Gorillaz.
I have to say, these guys are wicked.
I can't give you any samples but keep an eye on www.densorteskole.net they might put out something. If you happen to be in Copenhagen go see them live at Stengade 30 23rd and 24th of March or get free food and a mixtape the 20th, 21st, 22nd March.

I highly recommend the new fantastic album, "Samme stof som stof", from Under Byen. There's a bit more bite in the songs than we're use to, and the secrets comes from somewhere deep inside, where it really hurts. The album is recorded in an old 1800 century house in Bruxelles, where everything was so fragile and emotional that you can hear it in the songs. Unfortunately I can't give you any MP3's, but the album is out on monday and you can order right here!

Ramones cover by The Strokes

The B side tracks on the upcoming single, Heart In A Cage, from The Strokes are going to feature a cover version of the Ramones song Life's A Gas. The single is out the March 13th.
I'm truly excited to hear what is going to sound like.
